Greetings Saints Fans - From Seahawks.NET

Hey Saints fans, congratulations to you and your team for an incredible season so far. You guys deserve it.

It may seem a bit cheesy, but as the owner of the biggest Seahawks fan forum on the net, Seahawks.NET, I posted a new topic today that most of you will appreciate:

Seahawks.NET Says GO SAINTS!

Now that our team has completely gone south for the winter, I decided that we will be officially pulling for your Saints to go all the way. As stated in my post, obviously I am NOT leaving my team (never will), but because of our similar history, and my time in N.O. in 2004 for a Seahawks/Saints game when your fans were the best home fans at treating us opposing fans with respect and having fun.

So, though not all of our fans will follow, you at least have most of us on board. We got your back. Feel free to come on over and visit anytime.

Your Allied Seahawk fan,
Mark (RockHawk)
Owner - Seahawks.NET

Nice to see the olive branch from a team for once. My first football game was a game vs the Seahawks (a long time ago, when they were still an AFC team. Warren Moon was the QB and Ditka was the coach for the Saints). It was really exciting because even though the Saints gained a big lead early on (at which point Gumbo comically pretended to beat up an empty Seahawks mascot costume), the Seahawks came back to put us into overtime, and the Saints came out on top. But through it all, everyone stayed friendly. My dad and I had a Seahawk fan right next to us and he was very cordial during the game and courteously congratulated us on the win. So the Seahawks have a special place in my childhood memories.

Sorry I kinda rambled a bit there.

Awesome RockHawk. I was cheering for you guys when you went to the SB. And I was doing the same yesterday when you played the Vikqueens.

Seattle is a great city and my official second favorite team. :notworthy:

I will be pulling for you guys to catch the Cardinals.

Welcome aboard, RockHawk. Good to see a fan of another team with some class. I wish the 'Hawks a strong finish to the season. Don't ever feel bad about rooting for another team when you know your team is pretty much done for the year. I do the same thing with the Chargers if the Saints are out of it, but I bleed Black and Gold. No one can ever doubt my love for our boys, but I give respect where it is due to other franchises.

I understand rooting for another team besides just my favorite. I usually have another team that I pull for during the year, and that team usually changes each year. Seattle is a classy act.

Thanks. Hope the Seahawks spoil the party for other NFC teams and beat up on the Niners and the Packers.

very classy rockhawk. its kinda funny how most of us are all used to being out of the playoffs and usually have to adopt a team for the playoffs. i guess its the way both of our franchises have gone. mine is usually the packers though im 100% behind the saints.

i still remember hasselbeck saying "we want the ball and we're gonna win!" one of the funniest damn things ever. good luck the rest of the way.

The fact I live in Seattle, and have attended several Saints/Seahawks games over the years, and have been treated worse than any other stadium I have EVER been too, I cant forgive the beer thrown on my 6 year old, and...I could care less about your bandwagon blessings..ahh, ive got it off my chest.

And if I judged an entire fanbase by how some idiot fans acted when I attended (i.e. San Fran, Buffalo, Pitt ) I would never go back to an opposing stadium. I'm sure there are people just like this in your own fanbase brother, but it doesn't make everyone an idiot.

Totally agree with you RockHawk. Every fan base has idiots and I've seen ours (most of them wear purple & gold also). Thanks for the northwest support. Sure was pulling for you yesterday.

I have been to the last three Saints games in Seattle, and every time I go the crowd has been great. The last time on my birthday, we were 0-4 coming in and beat the snot out of them. Me and some friends got the whole section high fiving and Who dat-ing with us after every score. One of my best nights ever.

Quest is also one of the most beautiful stadiums there is. When it's going it really does rock. Has to be the loudest non dome out there.

Hope you guys figure out the o-line. I have too many friends in Vancouver who are crying on Sundays. Need me some happy drinking buddies, not depressed ones!!

Hey, RockHawk, thanks for the support. Tell your guys to come down to New Orleans--its great year round, and eat, drink, see the history, beauty, gators & ghosts, and have fun. http://img01.foodtrekker.com/gal_d73...5edbb6bb9e.jpghttp://www.homebakedmemories.com/ima...nHurricane.jpg

The reallity of the NFL is that if you are the Cowboys, and your 10 and 0 in week 10, you are a superbowl contender, and the undeniable best team in the league. If you are the Saints, or the Seahawks, or the Cardinals, if you don't win a superbowl, it doesn't matter what your regular season record was. Think about it, even after the Seahawks went to the bowl, the next year, i don't remember too many people giving them a chance to go back.

In the NFL, you have the Steelers, cowboys, giants, broncos, patriots, that if they were doing what the saints are doing right now, every analyst in the country would have them winning it all. The Saints? Well, we get, "we will see how legitimate they are, after they play the Pats Monday night!" It's almost like they want us to lose.

they said the same thing before we played the jets, dolphins, giants, falcons, and panthers

10 down......6 to go

we are the best in the league right now and we've been playing with nearly all of the important pieces on defense injured

we have a few pieces back this week and brady will have his hands full

taking welker out of the game will be crucial and id almost rather have greer cover welker than moss.....moss wont have time to go deep because of our blitz and welker will have to have a huge game to beat us
