Greetings Saints Fans - From Seahawks.NET
Hey Saints fans, congratulations to you and your team for an incredible season so far. You guys deserve it.
It may seem a bit cheesy, but as the owner of the biggest Seahawks fan forum on the net, Seahawks.NET, I posted a new topic today that most of you will appreciate: Seahawks.NET Says GO SAINTS! Now that our team has completely gone south for the winter, I decided that we will be officially pulling for your Saints to go all the way. As stated in my post, obviously I am NOT leaving my team (never will), but because of our similar history, and my time in N.O. in 2004 for a Seahawks/Saints game when your fans were the best home fans at treating us opposing fans with respect and having fun. So, though not all of our fans will follow, you at least have most of us on board. We got your back. Feel free to come on over and visit anytime. Your Allied Seahawk fan, Mark (RockHawk) Owner - Seahawks.NET |

Re: Greetings Saints Fans - From Seahawks.NET
Nice to see the olive branch from a team for once. My first football game was a game vs the Seahawks (a long time ago, when they were still an AFC team. Warren Moon was the QB and Ditka was the coach for the Saints). It was really exciting because even though the Saints gained a big lead early on (at which point Gumbo comically pretended to beat up an empty Seahawks mascot costume), the Seahawks came back to put us into overtime, and the Saints came out on top. But through it all, everyone stayed friendly. My dad and I had a Seahawk fan right next to us and he was very cordial during the game and courteously congratulated us on the win. So the Seahawks have a special place in my childhood memories.
Sorry I kinda rambled a bit there. |
Saints fan since he watched them play from his crib.

Awesome RockHawk. I was cheering for you guys when you went to the SB. And I was doing the same yesterday when you played the Vikqueens.
Seattle is a great city and my official second favorite team. I will be pulling for you guys to catch the Cardinals. |

Welcome aboard, RockHawk. Good to see a fan of another team with some class. I wish the 'Hawks a strong finish to the season. Don't ever feel bad about rooting for another team when you know your team is pretty much done for the year. I do the same thing with the Chargers if the Saints are out of it, but I bleed Black and Gold. No one can ever doubt my love for our boys, but I give respect where it is due to other franchises.

I understand rooting for another team besides just my favorite. I usually have another team that I pull for during the year, and that team usually changes each year. Seattle is a classy act.

very classy rockhawk. its kinda funny how most of us are all used to being out of the playoffs and usually have to adopt a team for the playoffs. i guess its the way both of our franchises have gone. mine is usually the packers though im 100% behind the saints.
i still remember hasselbeck saying "we want the ball and we're gonna win!" one of the funniest damn things ever. good luck the rest of the way. |

The fact I live in Seattle, and have attended several Saints/Seahawks games over the years, and have been treated worse than any other stadium I have EVER been too, I cant forgive the beer thrown on my 6 year old, and...I could care less about your bandwagon blessings..ahh, ive got it off my chest.
