In other words; just too many factors in a game to deem it simply a "road loss". I do agree that HFA plays a role in it. Especially in places like the Superdome. Here's another thought: Since our home crowd plays such a role, how important is it for the Pats to keep us on our hands??? |

Getting an early lead is huge for the Pats to take the crowd out of it. Unfortunately, they have been good at that this year, whereas the only thing the Saints have been good at in the first quarter over the last couple months is stinking up the joint and maybe turning the ball over a couple of times. Of course Drew & Co. are never out of it, but getting behind early could negate the HFA and make the comeback harder.
