Dome Field Advantage
Ok, bear with me here: If the teams ahead of their divisions right now, finish out on top, then it will be us, the Vikings, Dallas, and Arizona. So, no matter which one of these teams, we potentially face, the good news is no bad weather games. Considering, that we are undefeated on the road this year, is home field essential to go to the superbowl? I don't think so. Would it be nice? Yes, but essential, no. I honestly have no fear of the Vikings in Minnesota. Until Favre wins in late December and January, I still believe that he is going to run out of gas at some point. Romo? No worries at all, with his play off record. The only "wildcard", for me, is the Cardinals, and that's only because of what they did last year.
Either way, no soldier field, in sub zero temperatures, in our way, means that the only team that can beat us, in my mind, is us... |

I get what you're saying, but it's all about the match ups. It wasn't the cold weather that beat us in Chicago - it was their defense.
The Vikings, Cards and Cowboys are all playing good football and I'd hate to play ANYWHERE other than new orleans. Is anyone else watching Brett Favre completely ABUSE the Bears????? This guy is playing like he's 25 and their defense is incredible.... The Vikings are (right now) the scariest team at home in the NFL. |

Yeah, I'm watching redzone, and it's going back and forth. I just don't trust Favre in January. Memories of that NFC championship game at Lambeau against the Panthers, when he threw what, six interceptions? Brutal....

I just wish Favre would have won that NFC Championship game against the Giants. He would have gone to the Superbowl one last time, and win or lose, I think he would have retired and stayed retired at that point.

Re: Dome Field Advantage
I like Favre. He's a Mississippi boy, so I have to stick with my southern kindred... but, I honestly think he's going to keep playing til he's 45. He will join the age ranks of Moon, and Deberg.... and that's fine I guess, it's his life to live. But, the last two times he was in the NFC Championship, he really sucked terribly. And I'm sorry, but I don't think that the Vikings team he is on now, is better than some of the GB teams he went to the NFCC games with. Jared Allen, is no Reggie White. Sorry.
