this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Its hard to not choose Brees. 5td's, perfect rating. With that said, I have to go with Predator, dude was watching the game from a suite a week ago....

Yep. That 3-3-5 was for a few reasons I think.
1. Even though we are beat up in the secondary we had more speed and talent available there than the LBs. 2. It was easier to disguise coverage and confuse the Pats with the 5 DBs instead of an extra LB. It was exciting to watch. I know you didn't like the three man rush, but for the most part it was effective combined with the plays with extra rushers. I'd love to buy Greg Williams a beer, and Payton for giving up some cash to make sure he got him. |
