Re: NFC South is ours...
here is my question...the AFC South is wrapped up with the colts at 11-0...the Jaguars are 6-5...exactly identical to the NFC South...Saints are 11-0 and the Falcons are 6-5...how is that?

Re: NFC South is ours...
Thats because if we lose out and the Falcons run the table it would come down to a tie. Based on the tie the team who has a better W-L record vs. common teams would win the division crown.
The Falcon has 4 common opponets EAGLES, REDSKINS, COWBOYS and Giants. Currently we are 2-0, with 2 to go. Falcons are are 1-2. If we lose out we finish 2-2 and they win out they'll be 2-2. Which would go to another tie breaker system which I really don't have time to figure out at this hour. Indy has won the tie breaker if it comes down to the tie. |

Re: NFC South is ours...
It is SO awesome to be able to clinch a playoff spot (and the division) next week without concern to what other teams do.
After countless years of being out of it after 11 games OR being mixed in the mire of a half dozen teams at .500 or so and needing a hell of a lot of help to make the playoffs as a wildcard, it is nice not to have to care what other teams do (although a couple of Viqueens losses would be nice). |

Re: NFC South is ours...
I was born in Dallas which I had no controll over. I did get the hell out as quick as I could by joining the US Army. In the 70s and 80s I was a Dallas Cowboys season ticket holder. When Jerrry Jones bought the Cowboys they went to hell. You could not pay me to go to a Cowboy game unless it is the upcoming Saints game. I hope the Saints hand Dallas the worse loss in franchise history and head on out to Miami for the SUPER BOWL. (Mabe Bruno will come home this year)
