We had a prediction at the start of preseason and I was very optimistic about the saints then. Even placed a bet in Vegas for saints winning the NFC. Do I feel stupid now.
My first prediction was 11-5 or 12-4 then. that aint going to happen. 9/7 @Seattle 3:15p leaning to Loss 9/14 Houston 12:00p Win 9/21 @Tennessee 12:00p LOss 9/28 Indianapolis 7:30p Loss 10/5 @Carolina 12:00p Loss 10/12 Chicago 12:00p Win 10/19 @Atlanta 12:00p Loss 10/26 Carolina 12:00p tough one but win 11/02 @Tampa Bay 12:00p win 11/9 BYE WEEK -- 11/16 Atlanta 12:00p win 11/23 @Philadelphia 12:00p loss 11/30 @Wash. 3.00p win 12/07 Tampa Bay 12:00p loss 12/14 NY Giants 7:30 loss 12/21 @Jacksonville 12:00p win 12/28 Dallas 12:00p loss I hate picking this one like this but I thinkdallas will be playing for more pride. I come up with 7-9 or 8-8 and I felt I was being generous on some of the games. Where are the rest of you? edit/add 9-2-03 9:30am 11 games against playoff caliber teams, 2 teams trying to make a move this year, and 3 teams rebuilding. [Edited on 2/9/2003 by FWtex] |

I know that we aren\'t going to go 16-0, but I can honestly say that I think we are capiable of beating any team on our schedule. I\'m not ready to concede to any one individual loss on our schedule. With that being said I will go with 12-4 or 11-5.

Boy do I hope I\'m wrong, but outside of the Houston and Jacksonville game it\'s hard to find a win. But I\'ll pick 5-11.

Billy, I think you\'re far too optimistic. With the way our D is shaping up right now, we will have to have one of the most prolific offenses in the history of the game to go 12-4. I say 8-8.

Yeah, maybe, but that\'s only two or three more than we won last year.

So how do we drop to 8-8? IF Deuce gets hurt, IF Brooks re-gresses, IF our D can\'t gel. IF McCarthy stays predictable, IF Venturi arrives at the stadium, etc. etc. 8-8 IF\'s... Nobody wanted to hear the 12-4 IF\'s either. |
Whether we agree or disagree; its all for Him.

I look at it the same way I looked at it last year (I predicted 9-7).
I look at... Games we should win - 8, (Hou, Ind, Chi, Car, ATL, @ Was, @ Jax, Dal) Games we should lose - 4 (@TB, @ Phi, @ Tenn, @ATL) Toss-ups - 4 (@ Sea, @ Car, TB, NY Giants) Every team wins a few they should have lost, but lose a few they should have won and usually split the toss-ups. I come up with 10-6. |
