Maybe we've been wrong.

When it comes to the NFL, there's an aptly-named team in which the Most High might be interested, especially since Jerry Jones obstructed His view of the field in Cowboys Stadium with that big ass video board.

The Saints.

Before Monday night's game against the Patriots, owner Tom Benson had a prayer session with three archbishops and six other men of the cloth, including 96-year-old Archbishop Phillip Hannan, who actually took a stroll on the field before the game. (But for the black collar with the white notch, he might have been mistaken for Brett Favre.)

We still think that God doesn't care about the final score of any sporting event, and we assume/hope that the nine priests a-praying didn't include a specific request for victory.

Regardless, folks will continue to pray for a win -- and those are likely tough prayers to grant when they're arriving in equal amounts for both sides of a given game.
