I think it all depends on how far we get in the playoffs. As well as he's doing for us, the Grudens, Holmgrens, Billicks, and Shanahans of the world will get the first crack at every job this off season. Leslie Frazier of Minnesota will probably land a HC gig also. As xan pointed out, why mess up a good thing? Does he really want to go coach a struggling/rebuilding NFL franchise for a slight pay raise which he probably could here? Also what defense doesn't want a great offense to have it's back? We're as good as it gets. |

Re: Does Greg Williams stay on as DC next year?
I knew almost nothing about Gregg Williams when it was reported we were interviewing him for the defensive coordinators position. Last year we had the number one offense again and finished at 8-8. I really believe that GW single handedly got us over the hump. His aggressive defense pounded the offense and toughened them up while changing the finesse attitude and bringing swagger to the team. He can scheme with the best and brings out the best in his players. That being said I believe he is here next year and helps us continue to ride the wave that we're on. We need him and he's learning a lot from Payton on running a winning franchise. He is an an excellent place in New Orleans, but he may look to make a change after a couple of years.
