They will take care of Drew when the time comes, right now they need to worry about some of the over paid guys on the roster and resign the role players and depth that we have. I have faith in Loomis, no need to panic now

Anything HE wants. Seriously, I think you ask Brees what he wants. I reckon he doesn't take it all, preferring the Saints to use dollars to get precisely what Brees wants to strengthen the team. He is that sort of guy.

I believe he is one player that will continue to perform once he signs the big contract...he is worth whatever he wants. We have alot of free agents as well!

Re: How Much Do You Pay Drew Brees Now?
Payton Manning is in a contract year. Bill Pollian is quoted saying he will make payton the highest paid player in NFL history. Payton and Brees have the same agent... I let Paytons deal get done and the next day sign brees for $1 more.

Re: How Much Do You Pay Drew Brees Now?
Brees is signed for two more years on his original contract, if I am not mistaken. It's already been reported that he will most likely have that contract extended during the off-season. I say lock him up for AT LEAST another four or five years on top of the two remaining. That will put him as a Saint until he's roughly 37 or 38 years old. Barring major injury, he should be able to hold up for that long considering how well he takes care of his body.
