Re: Jabari Greer had surgery on Wednesday
Why in the name of God was this surgery not done 4 WEEKS AGO!!?!
I'm sick and tired of our supposed "medical experts" misdiagnosing injuries. They did this with Shockey and J. Brown and now Greer. Without Porter and Greer in the playoffs we are not winning the big one. We made a lousy Washington team punt ONCE last week with the current CB's in there. Minus McCallister. I'm pretty pissed about this if anyone can tell. |

I agree. Makes you wonder what the heck they have been doing the last few weeks. I think we definitely need Greer to move deep into the playoffs. I think he is our best defensive player, he gave sharper more flexibility to jump balls and make plays.

Re: Jabari Greer had surgery on Wednesday
How good can Porter and Greer possibly be expected to be after 2 months off of football? Even if they do come back, I just can't see them being what they were at the beginning of the season.

Not sure how a LB covers Sidney Rice, Percey Harvin, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Bolden, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, etc.
What we need is our starting CBs back. Just thinking about watching our current CB's cover those recievers makes me want to throw something. |

Re: Jabari Greer had surgery on Wednesday
Not to be too "know-it-all" about this kinda thing, but sometimes inflammation of tissue can mask the true nature of the damage. In Greer's case, one might not say it was misdiagnosed but more that the full extent of the injury was not seen in various scans. It can be tough to detect injury to the perimesium and endomesium sheaths that surround and connect the muscle fibers and which allows the muscles to work in concert and connect to tendons, which also connect to bones. Depending on the location of the structural damage , it can be healed with time, or, if too severe (or too far away from primary blood flow) it may require surgery. As details about the nature of the surgery are limited, it is probably safe to assume that the full extent of the injury was not determined until recently. Surgery is often the last resort, as total risk increases beyond the risk of time. In addition, recovery is uncertain as it is highly dependent on repairing the existing injury without causing other damage or infection.
