Every team's list is long this year. I think Thomas, Bell, Shockey, Ellis, Goodwin and Vilma are all written in pen.

Banged up but still playing.

If we are 15-0 I hope SP loses the bravado and sits everyone versus Carolina

Agreed. Hopefully we'll get the 1st round bye this week, and that should help rest some him some more.

Home field advantage and the NFC Championship game in the Superdome as long as Brees is playing. WHO DAT!

While the bye could come this week, there's still the matter of home field advantage. And it won't be this week. The ViQueens even if they lose to the Bengals, will have two AFC losses and one NFC loss to the Cards. If they win the final 3 weeks, they would finish 13-3 with a 11-1 NFC conference record. The Saints even if they win this week will have 13 wins with 3 to play. All are NFC contests. So in theory (and IMHO only in theory) the Saints could finish 13-3 with 3 conference losses finishing with a 9-3 conference record. Since there's no head to head, the second tiebreaker is conference record.

So at minimum, the Saints would have to win this week, the 'queens would have to lose, and the Saints would have to secure two more victories after that (or only one if the 'queens lose another of their last 3 games).

At minimum we're play through the Dallas game. Most likely we'll have to play through the Bucs too.

Only then can we look at rest.

This isn't a bad thing. It keeps the team sharp. The only problem is that the longer the starters are out, the higher the probability of something going wrong.

Outstanding. We are so thin at CB. I really thought he was going to be out for the season when I saw the injury.
