Re: Dream Matchup Comes Closer to Reality.
A hard question. Every player is just one play away from an INJ.
BUT - wins are great!! |

I've often thought about the perfect match up between the Colts and the Saints. I wonder how it would go down?

I'm in favor of letting players PLAY. If players are hurting, give them rest and healing, all in preparation for a strong, healthy post season. We would have a bye the 1st round, so we would have a built-in two week break from competition. Build big leads in weeks 16 and 17 and let the backups coast to victories if we can. Win game 16 going into the playoffs on a three(3) game mission. Superbowl is the ultimate prize, a 19-and-0 perfect season would be the icing on the cake.

Re: Dream Matchup Comes Closer to Reality.
Protecting Brees would be my main concern. Just about every position on this team we have quality depth but Brees can't be replaced. But then again I know Brees wants to play and he wants to win. If I were in Sean Payton's shoes I don't think I could take that opportunity to go undefeated away from Brees if that is something that's important to him. But if we get a good lead on the Bucs and Panthers then I'm sure Payton will clear the bench. Lord knows it wouldn't hurt Brunell to get a few snaps, he looked down right pathetic on that fake punt.
