Re: Should we go after Peppers?
The problem with Peppers is that he'll give you a game like this, then you won't hear his name for weeks. If he's on, he's an animal. If he isn't, then he's very pedestrian. Of course, his pedestrian is as good if not better than Grant's, but Peppers is going to demand a lot of money.

Re: Should we go after Peppers?
I am torn on the area of need for the Saints defense. Right now we are seeing the depth of the squad on the field.
Both starting DT are out. Porter just returned and Greer is still out. The back ups at LB just left the field. None of the back ups at these positions really have jumped out at me as anything to have as a starter. None. So all three area on my list high for need than DE for this defense. Picking in the lower 20's gives us some good players to pick from at CB, DT and SLB. There are some really nice options out there in the draft. As for UFA I really do not see the cap room there for us, if there is a cap. If there is not a cap I would not worry about it. We do not have the money to play Yankees in the NFL. Were would I spend the money? LT, DT or OC before anywhere else on the team.DE is just not here IMO. |

Re: Should we go after Peppers?
Peppers did very little this year at Carolina because he didn't want to be there. Came on at the end so he could impress other NFL teams to overpay his crybaby self. Not wanting him with the Saints. Pressley should be stepping up. I hope to see him doing more and performing better since he is a hometown boy of mine! Just say "NO" to Peppers!
