Here’s to an injury free game. This is a pic of Hand I took at training camp. Does he look funny to you in a Seahawks uniform? :D

Good luck Sunday from Seattle
LeCharles Bentley is gonna show him why we got rid of em. Hand will have to get used to Duce running by him for a while.

The funny thing to me is, you are actually happy to have him there............ wait,
Come to think of it................ So am I!!!!! :D |

Hi Hibbs glad you came over, enjoyed posting at Seahawks.net got to be one of the politest forums I\'ve ever been in. Hibbs you did\'nt post your call on the score, let\'s hear it.

Good luck Sunday from Seattle
His belly looks slightly smaller. What is his playing weight listed these days?
|
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
I was told at the Hawks site he is at 320. The fans in Seattle think he is for real and a big addition to the defense and it\'s rebuilding.

Good luck Sunday from Seattle
hey guys saw the thread over at the seahawks board and wanted to let you know ...
amidst the chest thumpers and zealots in Seahawk land lie the realists. I for one think this is gonna be a close game. I\'m fearful of what your running game will do to Holmgren\'s game plan should we get behind early. There is a very real concern that even through all the defensive changes over the offseason, our Run D is still very very suspect. Oh and Holmgren is 0-4 in season openers with Seattle. nice eh? With that being said..make sure ya bet the over on this game. It ain\'t gonna be a blow out, but a blow up! Good luck and here\'s to both the teams staying healthy and strong through week 1. - largentslovechild |

are you reallly an offspring of steve largent? now there was a reciever who could downright catch a ball.........one of a handful of true grit recievers...........watched him many times and enjoyed...................smitty

Saint5221 you right I didn’t post my call on the game. Since I’m a Seahawlk fan I would be remiss if I didn’t pick the Hawks to win Sunday. Both teams are evenly matched. I think the offences will score a lot of points. To be honest with you Duce scares the crap out of me. He is a fantastic running back and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ripped a couple of very long runs Sunday. My other concern is our Special teams. During the preseason with our rookies did not stay in their lanes in kickoffs.
Since we got our Lt tackle back the other day (Walter Jones) I think our quarterback just gained 2 seconds in the pocket. This extra two seconds should be good enough to find an open receiver. This combined with Shawn Alexendar, a pretty good kicking game, and the home field advantage in my opinion skews it slightly towards the Hawks. But hey, you never know. My prediction Seahawks 34 Sants 31. BTW I loved in the old days when everybody yelled “Who Dat! :o http://photosbyrich.net/Seahawks/shawn.jpg |
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
If your Special Teams units aren\'t up to snuff then you are in for a long game against the Saints. We have arguably the best units in football.
You should be worried about Deuce and Freddie Kreuger scared of \"The Beerman\" Michael Lewis. HE is your NIGHTMARE! |
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
I can see \"Beerman\" tearing up yall special teams just like Randy Moss did a couple years ago in the Playoffs with the screen play. His speed will kill yall, when he runs, you could swear its a tv trick \"Those short legs can\'t be moving that fast!\"

Good luck Sunday from Seattle
Hey Hibbs, if you\'re counting on home team advantage, then you should be really worried. You guys still have 21000 tickets unsold.
But I do have to wish Norman Hand a happy birthday today. |

This is what I see as far as the Saints matching up agains the hawks.
1. Saints D-line vs. Seattle O -line: Advantage Saints. 2. Saints O-line vs. Seattle D-line: Advantage Saints. 3. Saints receivers vs. Seattle secondary: Advantage Saints. 4. Saints specal teams vs. Seattle special teams: Advantage Saints. 5. Duece vs. Shawn Alexendar: Advantage Duece. 6. Brooks vs. Hasslebeck: Push. But if Brooks runs...Advantage Brooks. 7. Saints secondary vs. Seattle receivers: Advantage Seattle. 8. Saints defense vs. Seattle defense: Push. 9. Saints offense vs. Seattle offense: Advantage Saints. I call you a true Saintsfan and you throw that sh!t back at me? So you\'re not a true saints fan Billy?
|
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
A true Saints fan meaning what? I don\'t think there\'s any question that I\'m a true Saints fan. The only thing you could have meant by that is a \" True optimistic Saints fan that is being biased\".
It\'s so easy to see through what your message was with that post. At least own up to it. If you would have thought I was right you would have said \" I agree\" [Edited on 4/9/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
I don\'t agree, but I commended you for supporting the team. I wouldn\'t ever back down to a fan from another board either, regardless of what I really though. You need to chill it man. It\'s not personal. Can you differentiate between disagreement and dislike Billy? I\'m not sure you can - just like you have real difficulty analyzing this team without considering your hopes for the team.
Believe it or not Billy, I like you. I like you just like I like Saintfan. I didn\'t like you when you first showed up, but you\'ve become a good member of this board. You post a lot and you back your opinions firmly. You\'re up on the news and you don\'t go after people much anymore. That makes you an upstanding member of this board to me. Just b/c I disagree with your opinions doesn\'t mean I wich you any ill will. The one thing I think you need to do is understand that disagreement doesn\'t mean I\'m questioning your manhood. Maybe your sanity, but... ;) |
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
That\'s some deep stuff. I don\'t dislike anyone on here. I\'m no different than you. I believe in what I\'m saying and go to great lengths to prove I\'m right. I only make it as personal as you do. I don\'t get my feelings hurt and if anyone gets their\'s hurt they might need to do some deep thinking. This board is for debating. I will agree when I agree and disagree when I disagree. Isn\'t that how it\'s suppose to work.
People like to argue with me because I post a lot and that\'s fine. I have no problem with that. The more someone posts the more people are going to disagree. That\'s just the way it is. [Edited on 4/9/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |

Anywho, I\'ll play this game..and as I see it I have a few remarks... 1. Saints D-line vs. Seattle O -line: Advantage Saints. How\'s that? Our left side of the line is arguably the best in the NFL. With WJ back it moves Womack back over to the RT (which in turn makes our right side better....) and when Terry arrives game 5 Womack moves back to his natural RG. 5. Duece vs. Shawn Alexendar: Advantage Duece. Again, this doesn\'t even seem relevant...however this is a push. Sorry. It really is. Go check the stats from last season. 9. Saints offense vs. Seattle offense: Advantage Saints. You\'re kidding right? This has GOT to be a push as well. [Edited on 5/9/2003 by largentslovechild] |

Alexander scored 2 more TDs. I think that pushes your 1740 to 1635 yard comparison, even including the one game missed. 116 yard average..1856. It\'s close. It\'s a push. It\'s definitely not an advantage. And I think I\'d be surprised if the majority of your saints fans agreed with you. Quote:

Comparitively speaking, the NFC West is weak, maybe not as weak as the North, but weaker than the South and East. The only competition you guys have is St. Louis, San Francisco does not have a good defense or head coach, and I think we can all agree that until things are shaken up in the desert, Arizona will continue to draft great players, only to see them hit their prime with other teams. |
Good luck Sunday from Seattle
Largent -- I think Shaun is a very good back. I just feel Duece is better. The stats are close. However, the NFC west is a weak division compared to the NFC South. The 49\'ers are the only team to come out of the west with a winning record. Also, look at the defensive ranking against the run in the NFC south compared to the NFC west. You might dismiss this, but I think it is highly relevant. But if you want to look only at stats -- it would appear to be a push.
I know Grant is going to play and Howard said he was. We\'ll see. I do know your right tackle isn\'t going to play and that\'s a fact. I only wished we played in the NFC West. Try playing the Bucs and Panthers defense twice per yea. The Falcons defense ain\'t bad either. I got my hat.... :P [Edited on 5/9/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |

Hawks - 31
Saints - 27 The Saints fans are a little bummed, but they end up having a fantastic year - because the members of the board finally get together and (accidentally kill him while trying to pry his overblown head out of his with a 9\' crowbar). And the world rejoices. That boy is an , though the rest of the people actually seem polite and knowledgeable. WhoDat should be sticking a hot pocker in that idiots . Maybe he meant a hot pocket. You know like the food? Mr. Hawkfan03, don\'t come in here spewing that crap. I don\'t allow it from the members and I sure as hell ain\'t going to allow it from you. Be nice or be gone! :)

Just a short message to most of you Seahawks fans visiting our board. Thank you for showing such class and being the great fans I\'m sure you are to your team. Most of you guys are welcome back anytime. All are welcome back if they can show the class most of you did. Again thank you.
P.S. You do know we\'re still going to whip ya\'ll azzzzzzzz! LOL |

Now don\'t go riding Hawk03fan too much, he just jumped aboard the bandwagon for \'03. His Pats and Bucs jerseys still haven\'t sold on eBay so he can\'t afford to buy the Hassleback one yet, but he\'s got his Jim Zorn card taped to the front of his hat until they do.
Billy will go borrow the poker from WhoDat and chase him out. |

Yeah, and if I wanted to hear about shoving foreign objects into somebody\'s rear-end, I\'d be a 49er fan.

Another Seahawks fan checking in.
Looking forward to a well played game If the Seahawks Defense is as improved as I hope, the offense can play like they did to end the season, and they can keep from making critical mistakess or giving up big plays (especially on ST) I\'m confident of a Seahwks win. (34-17} If the offense sputters like they have been known to do to begin the season, the defense plays like they are a bunch of FA\'s and rookies, and our ST\'s play like they did in pre-season, I\'m just as confident of a Saints win (34-17} Obviously I *think* it\'s going to be the first option. We\'ll know in a couple of days. To the Saints fans best wishes for an enjoyable game, and win or lose no injuries! |

I am knowledgeable, however, I am not \"polite\". I like many here, don\'t care for outsiders making slanderous remarks towards any regulars. It\'s like beating up the kicker, yeah we make fun of him too, but he\'s on our team. Besides, he\'s just a kicker... So kindly re-attach your head to it\'s most comfortable position, http://banerunner.freeservers.com/images/ass.jpg and go back to that waste of space home you affectionately refer to as the \"West Coast.\" [Edited on 6/9/2003 by BlackandBlue] |

Largent -- You just opened up a can of worms there buddy. Thanks for policing our SAINTS board though. Is there any other subjects we should stay away from?
PS -- I was just wondeing if the reason that you\'re over here on a Saints board was because of lack of membership on the Seahawks board? I guess Seattle just ain\'t a football town. [Edited on 6/9/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |
