Re: Joe Horn Wants to Retire a Saint.
i just thought it was funny that you said you're a fan of a "1 day contract"
which means he would sign.....then retire....kinda like dan morgan did at the beginning of the season it just caught me off guard and seemed kinda humorous |

Re: Joe Horn Wants to Retire a Saint.
.. the "1 day contract" , when a player signs with his old team for a day so he can officially retire a part of his old team, is a common practice in the NFL.

Let Joe retire a Saint, He was a very good Saint. He really did make a name for himself here.

Re: Joe Horn Wants to Retire a Saint.
NFL films played the Atlanta game the first game back in the Dome. It brought back good memories of Joe for me so I would say yes. I also thought he tried
to join the team earlier this season, but I may be wrong. |

Re: Joe Horn Wants to Retire a Saint.
I hear everyone saying that he was a good Saint, and the 1 day contract being a good idea. I've alway liked him and have no problem with this....but something tells me he meant that he wants to actually PLAY (and win a SB). Its no secret that we have been basically "signing people off the street" to offset injuries (not that we have a spot for him anyway). Maybe he wants to follow in McKenzies footsteps and play for a contender.

Re: Joe Horn Wants to Retire a Saint.
Now that you all mention it ... Joe was a real good player for us. But I am not convinced he actually makes the team even if he were the same Joe Horn he once was. In other words, our talent at WR now is much greater than when he was a star for us. Still it would nice to ceremonially retire him as a Saint. He is definitely one of us.
