I couldn't disagree more. The fact that EVERY time Austin busted one lose, he was being chased (not covered) by Jenkins put the D on the ropes far too often. Sharper has disappeared for the last 5 games, largely due to helping CB's who are busy biting on double moves and just generally being unable to cover.
Stop the Ranch hands from scoring that early strike, plus get Drew to stop coughing the ball up on sacks, and we win that one. |

I see what you are saying, but read the rest of my post, and not just the first part. It's about momentum. After the Austin TD, Dallas had the momentum and they didn't let up for quite a while. However, after the Saints scored their first TD, the momentum shifted drastically in the favor of the Saints. They stopped Dallas on their next possession, got the ball back, and BAM....another score. The big slant play by Austin on 3rd down was what kept the clock winding down on Dallas' next possession, but Folk botched the FG later. The momentum was still in our favor. They didn't capitalize, but the shift in momentum was easy to see. Had Devery made that TD catch, the momentum would have come a lot sooner than it did, and we probably wouldn't be talking about a loss today.
