this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Alot of arm tackling out there, that's for sure. They need to get back to basics, on alot of things....

... hard to win games when you only score 3 points in 3+ quarters.

http://blackandgold.com/saints/23131...ts-select.html- I really like this draft from 16 to the top of the third so far. Some nice players worth the pick. |

Bad news--Bushrod needed help with Ware, coaches needed to adjust and they did not.
Good News---Demarcus Ware is only on the Cowboys team and if we see him again, hopefully a TE or RB will help Bushrod out. 3rd and 7 and you can't get off the field, you loose the game. Cowgirls wanted it and needed it more than the Saints. |

Thank You. Everybody always jumps on the defense. If we score our average point total we win. The O-line was terrible. Thomas missed 2 blitzes and the defender came in untouched. Too many dropped passes and on the Brees interception the whole timing of the play was thrown off from the beginning when Goodwin left the game after being shaken up and leckey came in and the shotgun snap hit Brees in the facemask which cost him a second and threw off his timing an he under threw the ball. Payton should have given help to Bushrod but didn't and we really missed Shockey. We beat Tampa this week and we can rest everyone for 2 weeks to get healthy and we will be fine for the playoffs.

the difference is right here. the cowboys played like a desperate team who absolutely had to have this win to save their season and dignity. the saints arent desperate and weren't ready to match the cowboys intensity. which is only natural when your being told all week how you're so much better than the cowboys and how they dont stand a chance. naturally the saints came out laid back and not ready for the more focused cowboys. as much as it hurts to say, but its true.

Re: Cowboys 24 Saints 17 where was the breakdown for the Saints?
We got behind early...AGAIN...and this time the well was dry. After last weeks win, Peyton tried to be what he calls "balanced", rather than taking what was being given, and it backfired. Balance will come because we have so many weapons that open up other parts of our game. We got down and became one dimensional: 45 throws and 11 rushes. There was no protection, no push up front, no pass rush on the other side of the ball, poor tackling: we did everything necessary to lose the game. Cowboys did what they had to to win: rushed for over 100, protected Romo, kept the ball out of our hands (T.O.P.), and held on down the stretch. Good on "D"...and shame on us.
