Top to bottom loss.
Of course, we were also 2 plays from winning the game. |

I said mostly defensive line, offensive line, can't exactly blame Drew because the o-line was crushed and both fumbles happened because he was on his butt.
AND Coaching. The team looked totally unprepared. I'm sorry but all the crowd noise and home field advantage wasn't going to help us get over the hump. |

Surprising how badly the OLine played .. and we've played better Dlines too. But like CL said in another thread, we needed to run more and stay committed. I thought Strief was playing LT now. Surprised to see Bushrod getting beat like a drum. Anyway you slice it, major suckage in most phases of the game!

Re: Cowboys 24 Saints 17 where was the breakdown for the Saints?
I think we were beat up everywhere but it was still a game we coulda won. We knew we had personnel problems particularly on defence against a team that knew how to pass or rush. However we pretty well messed up on offence due to offensive line getting absolutely undone. That caused all our offensive problems with Brees get plastered and then forced into 3 errors too many. Big time errors when you consider Dallas only one by ONE score.
That's my take. |

Re: Cowboys 24 Saints 17 where was the breakdown for the Saints?
Like others have said, it was a lot of things. The lines, the QB, D-backs, playcalling...almost everything was off (running backs did okay). Just got completely outplayed for three quarters, but didn't give up and almost came back at the end.
I just hope we can clinch HFA and get healthy for a deep run in the playoffs. |

Re: Cowboys 24 Saints 17 where was the breakdown for the Saints?
coaching..ONLY because the first 6-8 games of the year we put pressure on the opposing QB. Nothing as of late. as far as the O goes, Dallas stuffed the run for the most part, but we didnt commit to it enough for the playaction to work effectively

we learned one thing last night. The fat lady ain't always on our side. even when she was we did not play well enough to win.
should I dare say LOT in the draft or DT Do not count out CB either. Jenkins is better off at S IMO. Bring in more speed. |
