Five good points from Peter King

Re: Five good points from Peter King
1. The Cowboys' front seven never let Drew Brees get comfortable. By my count, through three quarters, Dallas moved Brees off his spot in the pocket -- either by sacking him or flushing him from the pocket -- on 50 percent of his pass drops (12 of 24). Brees never got comfortable or in a rhythm all night. That was huge.
This is true this was huge. |
Re: Five good points from Peter King
They knew what Payton wanted to do and they stopped it. He didn't adjust fast enough.

Yes he does..that D they run reminded me of the dome patrol..i like a 3-4..but yeah Bushrod was overmatched to say the least..

Re: Five good points from Peter King
You know what Strato - the 3-4 defense seems to be our nemesis this year. Miami, Washington, and I think Dallas runs a 4-3 but they sure brought some LBs last night.

It has been all year..i just like blitzing LBs...reminds of the D.P

Re: Five good points from Peter King
I just couldn't believe there was no help over there for Bushrod. Ware is a unique and dominating pass rusher, especially on that last drive, why wasn't a TE lined up over there to help? I know the situation was dire and the Saints needed receivers in patterns, but still, you have to give your QB a chance to throw the ball. Oh well...
