I notice today they arent as bad as i thought they would be ..I know it doesnt mean that much in the grand scheme of things...I really thought it would be worse...the Viqueens losing helped..The host of First Take said if Devery catches that pass in the endzone it would have been a different game..and i agree..and the guy ..dont remeber his name ..that was across from Skip Clueless ..said we just had an off game....Now as far as Clueless...he wasnt that hard on us..i guess because he picked us to win by three tds...lol..this might not even be thread worthy...

I watched that, too. Bayless is still a maroon, though. And I totally agree with the guy saying that Devery's dropped pass made the difference. I stick to my guns on that one.

Several things helped. We are still 13-1 and lost to a team on the playoff bubble by one possession. It wasn't a whupping (at the end, it sure was for 3 qtrs) and it wasn't a bad team. Plus the team with the next best record in the NFC also lost, so we kept our lead. Finally I don't think it shocked anyone after several weeks of having to come from behind.

Now if we lose to Tampa Bay everyonen will hit the panic button.

I am so glad I no longer have cable or satellite TV piped into my house.

I haven't seen any of the coverage of the NFL this season except on this board and this has been the most pleasant season ever.

Of course, 13 wins might be affecting that.

I'm with you. I do have satellite TV but I just don't watch anything football related anymore other than the games themselves. Any news I get I get from this site. 2 weeks ago I realized I had Saints overload... every talking head going on and on about the Saints not really having a clue what they were talking about, it just sounds like Schroeder's piano teacher now.

I even canceled my xm radio, which I got so I could listen to Foxsports, ESPN, and Mad Dog radio, but I just had enough.

I'm with ya. I was one of the early adopters of XM, had it since it first came out. But I got sick of their crap, and cancelled them for good.

I got tired of them preempting my channels - (which I pay for, you know) - every season with Christmas music. Now, keep in mind the channels I listen to are thrash, metal, industrial, not to mention a lot of house music -- which is the complete, extreme, polar antithesis of Christmas music. Now if you wanna preempt the easy listening channels, the Christian music channels - hey, that's fine. At least they wouldn't mind, it's similar. But the death metal channels?

C'mon man.

Minnesota and Green Bay lost... we're still a one loss team. Even if they wanted to rag on us, they have no one to pump up over the Saints. I mean Carolina over Minnesota and that last second win in Pitt has got to take the cake over a loss to the Cowboys.

that idiot bayliff ,cluless is a dallas freak i really think this guy is piped inside jerry jones office, he has nothing but praise for the boys and he was pumped for romo today for going pick free for the last three or more games, its every day he just irks the hell out of me, but allways says hes a saints fan. drew brees is not in his top five clutch q.b.s .i know i don't have to listen but every one around that table but him has good smack

I've never been far man. Lurking. But this season has been so dreamlike that it got me superstitious. I figured hey, I haven't been posting, and the Saints have been winnning (BIGTIME)- so I just kept it that way. Call me superstitious, we all have our own little rituals.

But it doesn't matter now, my worst nightmare has occurred. 16/0 is now a fading memory, ruined by a bunch of Brokeback Mountain escapees loving up on our backup left tackle. So I figured what the hell, no need to fear jinxing it anymore.

Ok, i was gonna just let everything go & keep my mouth shut, but i can't...
First off, i understand wut yall are say'n about the droped pass by Devery & YES, it would have changed the game, but the bottom line is ( He did'nt ). Im NOT gonna go FAULT'n him 4 the loss. As 4 the media, well F#%k'em, thats how ive alway's felt bout them.
Growing up, ive NEVER been a guy to say we were cheated or they did'nt call certain penalties or screwed us in any way... Theres just NO excuse 4 the way we played all together as a team. There were many things that i noticed from the 1st quarter & on. If yall pay as much attention 2 detail as i alway's do, then u will know exactly wut im talk'n about...

(1) During DALLAS first 2 poss., if u watch the film, we did NOT send not even one blitz.
(2) On there 3rd & 4th poss. we blitzed almost every play & played man-2-man on the WR's. Romo had NO time & was sacked 2 times & hit almost every play. He had NO time at all, so they had to punt.
(3) 2nd half, the whole 3rd quarter we blitzed one time... WTF???
If sumthing's working, DON'T change it. G. William's had his head up his ASS & there was even 2 times u could read Vilma's mouth when he was say'n WTF, why wont he call blitz??? I dont understand any of that B/S at all.
(4) Last, but NOT least ( Bushrod ) had his ass handed to him the whole entire night, now why did'nt they switch him to the other side or try to replace him? U have to have someone reliable to block for ur QB on his blind side. Bree's never had much time to do anything all night long. It just did'nt make any sence at all not to fix a problem, but to just let it continue!!!

Either way though, im glade it we did lose, i think the experts are right. A lose is just wut we needed. We were just get'n to damn comfurtable, bottom line!!!
YES. there were sum terrible call's by the official's, but that happen's every week, so u get used to that, but the Saint's beat themselves & thats that.

If you look at other posts I made in other threads, I stated that the Saints played horribly in all aspects. I am not putting all of the blame on Devery at all. I'm just saying that one play could have swung the momentum a lot earlier. Sure, it's speculative to say that the Saints would have won if Devery made that catch, but to say that they wouldn't have would be just as much speculation. I know it's a lot of coulda, woulda, shoulda from the Cowboys game, but that was the one play that could have turned the tide. I'm over that loss and I'm looking ahead to the Bucs game.

Well, the media has been jumping on board a little more each week. One loss doesn't necessarily spell the end for a team that was undefeated. They will be back to singing our praises next week.
