Lance Moore returned to action against the Dallas Cowboys after missing six games with ankle and hamstring issues, and he made his presence felt with a 7-yard touchdown reception on a quick screen in the fourth quarter. It was the only catch of the night for Moore, who led the Saints in receptions and receiving yards a year ago, but he should be a valuable asset as the Saints get ready for the playoffs.
After the game, Moore talked about his return and what the Saints have to do to get back on the winning track: How good did it feel to get back out on the field? “It felt great. It’s been a long time, and to just to be able to run around with my guys and sweat and believe in my guys was great. We’ve got to make sure we don’t let what happened tonight happen again.” When you scored the touchdown to make it 24-17, and then Dallas missed the easy field goal, did you feel it was your game? “Oh yeah. Any time you see that at that point in the game, you feel like it’s meant to be. We fought, but we came up short today. I never at any point in the game think, ‘Oh, shoot, we’re going to lose.’ You fight and you try to bounce back. We just came up short today.” What beat the Saints tonight? “Our mistakes. We made mistakes and they played better than we did. When you play a good team like that, you can’t make those mistakes.” Obviously you don’t ever want to lose, but how do you take this result as a positive? “We still have ball to play. We have to look forward to the film and correcting our mistakes and bouncing back next week against Tampa Bay.” How much emphasis will there be on starting faster than this team has in recent games.... |

Re: Interview with Saints Wide Receiver Lance Moore
I was surprised that he only had the one catch. I would like to have seen him get more involved.
