Re: Hargrove at RDE?
strato that would make a lot of sense.. i would love to see hargrove on the outside.. he is quick, i mean really quick.. also i want to see mccray out there as well.. as for grant. the inside with remi and mccray put into the mix would be highly advantageous.. i just dont see grant having the engine anymore.. and he is really expensive.

Re: Hargrove at RDE?
GW needs 2 get his head out his A$$, bottom line. He act's scared to send pressure & dial up blitz now & thats dumb. We have to blitz far more & bring constant pressure. DALLAS game-There first 2 poss, we did NOT blitz... Then on there 3-4 poss. we blitx almost every play & they had to punt both times. thrn after the half GW went right back to the same B/S he did & NOT send constant pressure, so Homo had all day to make plays. I dont care who is play'n CB or how good they are, u CAN'T cover a man for 10 sec. str8, they WILL get open at one point. Its impossible. So theres more go'n on then just blown coverage, it all works together.
As far as Grant, lol, well i didnt want him start'n at all this year & McCray is FAR better than Grant ever was & thats that. McCray gives 110% every play, unlike Grant. I would leave Hargrove in the middle, he is actually do'n a great job. We need Sed back at full strength though!!! |

Re: Hargrove at RDE?
Hargrove is developing into a nice 3-tech DT, but he still has a way to go. He still gets too high at times (no pun intended) and gets pummelled on run plays.
He could probably do OK at LDE, but Grant would get destroyed inside. Grant is grossly overpaid, but he's our best LDE. |

Re: Hargrove at RDE?
The blitz is very effective if there is adequate pressure with a 4-man rush. We are not getting that, especially from Charles Grant. Also, our defense is built around tight man coverage from the corners. We're not getting that either, especially from Gay and McKenzie whose lack of recovery speed forces them to play loose. Under the circumstances, I think GW has been getting great mileage out of some very mediocre defensive players. To blitz on a regular basis in order to create pressure seems reckless if some other parts are not in place, and surely that is why GW is avoiding that strategy.
