Usama Young
ok, evidently our depth at corner is very thin... hopefully jabari comes back.. we had usama play CB last year why dont we have him back at corner temporarily considering our situation.. people keep complaining about MJ maybe if we move MJ to the nickel and have Usama play a bit maybe that could help us out.. Usama does indeed have speed and could cover man-man.. as for MJ maybe zone would be great for him... what do you guys think? and please dont blast me for this.. lol

Re: Usama Young
MJ is just going through rookie "BLUES", lol... He will be fine next year, but i think all the hype is get'n to him right now. I agree, Young needs to be thrown in at CB to help out. We was ask'n the same question a few weeks back, but it never happened. I believe ur right, MJ would probably be ok at Nck!!!

Can we stop saying "don't blast me for this"? People here generally don't BLAST you just for your opinion. If someone can't handle others opinions then they shouldn't post their own.
What you're seeing from MJ now, is what you saw from Usama in '07 and '08. Both players are improving at their current positions, why switch?? I think the coaches have both players where they want them. |

Re: Usama Young
i read a week or two ago, before we had porter back, that GW hasnt been using his same pressure packages because he has been using more people in coverage to help out the rookie and the guys who came off the streets. im sure once greer and ellis get back into the lineup we will go back to what we were doing in the beginning of the year. i have seen Usama in at CB when we were really thin at Cb and he isnt any better than jenkins.

Re: Usama Young
Look, all we have to do is beat Tampa and everything is locked up. Leave MJ out there for the time being because he is getting great experience and will have lots of tape to review and study in the off season to make himself a better player. Greer and Porter will be there for the playoffs and GW can go back to being aggressive. If you yank MJ now you may destroy his confidence and aggressiveness. He will be fine as he matures in this league.

Re: Usama Young
Well Greer and Porter do solve the problem if they can come back and not pull a hamstring or suffer cramps. MJ reminds me of a corner for Carolina name Chris Gamble. Gamble doesn't have great speed but instead relies on great body control. If MJ turns into a Chris Gamble, nobody will complain.

Re: Usama Young
I think williams isn't going blitz as much as we used to earlier in the season because teams are starting to scope it out. But i wouldnt be surprised if we bring it back by playoffs
