Guys - we are in trouble but it's not over
We need to come out and take it to Carolina, who has been playing good ball lately.
The bad news is we had a chance to pack it in next week. The good news is that if we can come out and point Carolina (barring a Minny blowup against the Bears) we'll be able to go into the playoffs with our mojo back. We are in trouble. Big trouble. Coach needs to get this team togehter NOW. |

Re: Guys - we are in trouble but it's not over
Payton does not have his team mentally prepared to play. They haven't been properly prepared since the NE game. Before today, I scoffed at the notion that the NE game was our "Superbowl," but now I'm beginning to think maybe it was. Pathetic. How can the players not get up for a game like today? Even if we beat Carolina, which is starting to look like a longshot, ironically, what does home field advantage mean now when a 2-12 (now 3-12) team can come into the Dome and take it to the Saints?

Carolina is gonna steamroll these pretenders. Might as well put in the second and third stringers as at least they might play with more heart then these "MVP" posers.

Nobody "took it to the Saints" though. We shot ourselves in the foot.

Re: Guys - we are in trouble but it's not over
Radio Saint is right, I didn't see much advantage playing at home. The team does look tired, especially on defence, but I guess the fans in the Dome will feel even more heart broken and tired after todays performance.
Saints MUST play a really good game against the Panthers and get a win to restore team confidence. Also they need to give Saints fans something to cheer about as they head into the playoffs! If Payton can get his team fired up and back on track then the Saints will be ok. If he can't, . . . . . . . . . . .???? Here's hoping he can!!! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!! |

Panthers have been playing extremely well lately. If they come to play we can't beat them! Stewart and Williams are better than the Cadillac that rolled over us today

We needed to win this game. We let a very poor team come into the dome and beat us in every phase of the game. "Taking it to Carolina" is a week too late....
