this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; What's the likelyhood that he gets a head coaching offer now? Our defense is giving up yards at a huge pace. If not for all of the turnovers we've forced this year, it could REALLY be ugly....

Re: Greg Williams stock
I think Payton should get his 250K back, but just my opinion. But we're definitely a better team with Williams as DC. I think we can all blame the O for taking the foot off the gas after the 2nd quarter in this game. Just because Greer and Shanle was out is no reason to let a 2-12 team with a rookie QB beat us in the Dome. The D Line got it taken to them today, and Williams didn't have an answer.

Re: Greg Williams stock
This ISN'T the first game that our defense hasn't played up to their potential ... We just found away to outscore people in past weeks. Those days have caught up to us and are no longer ...

Re: Greg Williams stock
Agreed, and I think now that we've seen several bad ones in a row it will cool some of his suitors for a HC job...

Re: Greg Williams stock
The defense gave us a chance, let's face it. 2 INT's, 3 sacks, 13 offensive points allowed. We should be able to win easily with that kind of defensive performance.

Re: Greg Williams stock
But they gave up 439 yards to a HORRIBLE team and let them have the ball 36+ minutes, including ALL of overtime...

Re: Greg Williams stock
Our talent is not up to par on defense with that of the offense....it seems to be catching up to us now. Still, the offense did not score their average points ... a team loss any way you slice it. It does not bode well for us in the playoffs should we continue to underperform like this... unless, of course, it is part of a master plan to make the opposition in the playoffs think we suck again. Is it?

Re: Greg Williams stock
our defense is giving up big plays because of our banged up secondary. We cant blitz the way we want because that leaves malcolm jenkins with a one on one coverage most of the time. And we are all noticing that they are picking on him
