Is it legal to use your arms
while tackling? I only ask because .... aw hell, you know why I am asking.
Seriously though, I saw a lot of tackles attempted by just using a shoulder. Are our players just a step slow getting to the play so that they are not in a position to wrap up or are they suffering from bad technique? |

Re: Is it legal to use your arms
tackling is a loss art. goes for the whole NFL. guys want to lay big hits these days rather than wrap up and tackle. ESPN actually did a piece on this earlier in the season. It's something defense loving football heads have noticed for years.

Yeah, you are certainly right --- and players going for the strip is a big part of the problem overall (although I did not see that as an issue today).
