This only builds the Legend

When we look back on the Superbowl XLIV victory, this 2 game skid will be the adversity the hero always must face late in the tale.

Ideally, losing 3 straight going into the playoffs and a stunning come from behind victory in the playoffs and a hard fought Superbowl against an opponent considered the better team if we want a true Legendary season.

If we don't make it all the way it has been a fantastic ride.

So this is like the part of Superman II where Superman loses his powers, minus the sleepover with Lois.

Re: This only builds the Legend

The problem I've had most of the season is that many want to talk about the legend before it happens. Personally, I prefer to let the legend happen before we talk about it...mainly because of my superstitions.

Hasn't been 42 years of nothing. It hasn't been 42 years of regular playoffs and contenders but it hasn't been nothing.

It has been mostly fun. And a great way to learn to accept things you cannot change.

Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, and
the wisdom to know the difference.

Funny you should say that--- the first thing I noticed when we made the Poydras St. exit downt the ramp is what a beautiful day it was outside in New Orleans. I would have liked our usual victory parade back to the Quarter, but I saw a lot of people who looked otherwise happy out enjoying the city, while my wife & I were on the way to Royal St. to buy pretty stuff.

I sure hope we win the rest of the way. I'll get my party stuff ready, just in case.
