Pro Bowlers Announced Today
Since the Pro Bowl rosters will be announced today, I thought it would interesting to see what you guys thought about potential Saints' players making the NFC squad. I know a lot of us still think they can or will still make it to the Super Bowl, but let's forget all that for the time being. Let's pretend that the game will still be played the week after the Super Bowl. Here are the players that I think would make it:
Drew Brees: No brainer. No need to elaborate here. Jahri Evans: Has definitely shed that underrated tag the he has had the last couple of years. Defensive lines know who this guy is now and they realize just how good he is. Darren Sharper: 9 INT's with 3 pick-6's? He's a lock. Will Smith: I think he's the team's defensive comeback player of the year. I know a lot of people would choose Hargrove, but Smith is coming off of a 4 sack season to break through with a career high 13 sacks, 48 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and a pick. He finally played up to his contract and he's flying under the radar with names like Peppers, Cole, and Allen out there. My dark horse pick would be Jonathan Vilma. In a conference full of talented middle linebackers, Vilma could be snubbed. He's been big several times in the clutch and has recorded 110 tackles, 3 INT's, and 2 sacks. He's the heart of the Saints' defense and has been everything we imagined he would be since coming over from the Jets. What do you guys think? |
