I like the old saying, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog." So yeah, underdog is fine with me, as long as the fight is in there.

Re: Are you OK now that we're not the favorites?
It was so weird seeing the Saints all over ESPN. I mean, for years I waited for Channel 5 in Alexandria to acknowledge the Saints, or Channel 12 in Shreveport to just give a minute to mention them. National exposure was pretty special, but definitely new territory.
Another by-product of the hype was that everyone I have ever known in my life, who I havent heard from in a while, has called or emailed me to congratulate me on the Saints success. When they see the Saints on tv, they think of me. I'll gladly see the Saints downplayed, or even ignored for a week or two, if it bigger things are yet to come. If they're playing on January 24th, or better yet (almost unimaginable now) on February 7th, the whole world will know who we are, and maybe even Shreveport. |

Re: Are you OK now that we're not the favorites?
I prefer to be underdogs!
All this, will they, won't they, 16-0, records for this and records for that! I was getting fed up with it all. It was all extra pressure that the team doesn't need! All the above is of no importance whatsoever. All that matters is showing up for the playoff games, fit and healthy, with the right mindset and progressing to the SB. It's as simple as that!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Are you OK now that we're not the favorites?
I dunno, I don't mind being the underdog, and as some have said may actually prefer it, but I don't like the way we have become the underdog: by losing two in a row at home with the playoffs coming up.
I really hope these two weeks have been a wakeup call to the team and they know they have to play hard and smart on every single play once the playoffs start. If we can get to the Super Bowl I won't care at all about these last couple of games. |
