this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Sloan should be a major contributor in this offense. If they run it the way it\'s meant to be run whomever the TE is should have stats like Brent Jones had with SF....

There are so many different versions of the west coast offense that the TE will differ from system to system. Apperantly for McCarthys version the TE is nothing more than a safety valve. It has run effectivly so far without a TE. I do agree that the TE should be a major contributor, but it doesnt seem to be a need. If his job is to block he has done a fabulous job, but if it is to make plays than he needs some work.

touchdown Boo Williams. You are right. McCarthy\'s system doesn\'t feature a lot af throws to the tight end.
