There are so many different versions of the west coast offense that the TE will differ from system to system. Apperantly for McCarthys version the TE is nothing more than a safety valve. It has run effectivly so far without a TE. I do agree that the TE should be a major contributor, but it doesnt seem to be a need. If his job is to block he has done a fabulous job, but if it is to make plays than he needs some work.

touchdown Boo Williams. You are right. McCarthy\'s system doesn\'t feature a lot af throws to the tight end.
