New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant headed to injured reserve

David Grunfeld/The Times-PicayuneNew Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant has been placed on injured reserve.New Orleans Saints starting left defensive end Charles Grant has had surgery to repair a torn triceps injury and has been placed on injured reserve, a Saints official confirmed Tuesday morning.

It appears the injury occurred in the second quarter of Sunday's 23-10 season-finale loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Grant suffered a similar injury last season that caused him to miss the last eight games of the season.

Grant had 44 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks this season.

Saints signed Paul Spicer again. Me wonders if we will ever see Grant in a Saints uni again.

I"m not the biggest Grant fan, but what in the world was he doing playing in that game to begin with, way to go Sean

You have to have someone in there on defense. You can't sit everyone out all game.

He only wanted to rest injured players, and/or his star players. Grant was neither.

LOL..true, Im not a grant fan at all,and i think whomever takes his place will do as good of a job as he did, so no worries here
