My day in the Dome!
The atmosphere was electric.
Saints win 45 - 14. The music was booming. Saints win 45 - 14. The Superdome was the loudest I had ever heard it in my entire life. Saints win 45 - 14. And the New Orleans Saints weren't even on the field yet. But once they were, things got even more wild. Upon parking and walking toward the Superdome, it was evident that things were going to be over-the-top nuts, but that was merely out in the street. People were dancing and drinking as songs like "Who Dat," "Bless You Boys," and the Ying Yang Twins' "Stand Up and Get Crunk" blared from the speakers of cars and a DJ booth. I knew from that moment on that things were going to be even better then I had imagined. Finish reading in NFL Playoffs: Thoughts straight from the Superdome. |

Re: My day in the Dome!
This was my first game in about 4 years. Last time I was there was Reggie's rookie season when he got his first touchdown ever with the punt return against Tampa Bay.
Dude, I had totally forgotten how awesome it was around the Dome leading up to the game and this reminded me that NFL teams do NOT need a huge parking lot to tailgate in. Just give us a city! |

Re: My day in the Dome!
Someday I'll get there I love seeing the Saint's Fans in the crowd on TV. But I do my part getting to the games when The Saints play in MD, PA & NJ. I will tell you that finding other Who Dats in away stadiums is really awesome.

Re: My day in the Dome!
The first game I ever went too in the dome was the 1976 National Championship game between Pittsburgh and Georgia. Tony D ran all over Georgia that day, I was drunk as hell at only 16 and it was so loud the entire game I couldn't even hear myself yell. It was freakin FANtastic! I've been in alot of stadiums in my day and nothing compares to the SUPERdome!
