Simple really......
OK.... In my mind it's as simple as this. We play like we did against the Cards, Like we did most of the season, we win against the Vikes!!! This team just needs to keep "Bringing the wood"!!!! I honestly believe we just have to much for ANYONE to deal with on offense!!! Just protect the golden child Brees...and the holy grail is ours!!!!! WHO DAT!!!!!!
Brees wins this Superbowl and he will go down as one of the all time greats!!! A man who did the unthinkable, the impossible..... Took those SAINTS 2, and 1 the bowl baby!!!! I am to pumped.... I hate Sportscenter yet....I can't seem to get enough since yesterday LMAO!!!!! |

Re: Simple really......
Ain't that simple in my book. The Vikings can bring serious pressure on the QB without sacrificing coverage bodies (i.e. without blitzing). It all comes down to whether the O-line (and TE's and RB's) can slow down the rush long enough to give Drew time to get the ball out. Our receivers will be open against the Vikings' back 7, the only question is if Drew can get the ball to them. Shockey could be the difference maker for the Saints as he is a good blocking TE and obviously also a good receiver. If he's out with injury, it could get ugly.
On D, you have to expect to give up a few big plays. The goal will be to force a couple of turnovers, which is going to be tough because Favre has not thrown many picks at all this year. Hopefully GW can dial up some coverage schemes to confuse him and earn a pick or two--crowd noise will help too. Then also our tacklers will need to be aggressive trying to strip the ball. If the Vikings can get enough pressure on Drew to stop the long pass plays, and if they can establish a solid run game, this will be a tough game for the Saints. Right now there's no reason to think they can't do those things. This is not an easy matchup for the Saints. |

Re: Simple really......
It won't be easy, but I agree with FatCitySaint: If the Saints play their best game, it will be a win.

We're focused, hungry, and most importantly healthy. The Vikings don't scare me one bit.

All bets off this weekend. That road stuff, the noise, the travel, any other distraction won't matter at all this weekend. 1 hour to the super bowl and no one will be tired or injured.
We need to be prepared to take no prisoners because the Vikes are playing with house money. We better hit harder swarm bigger and hit the spot faster because this game is going to go all 60 minutes. Favre is going to press til he is utterly out of gas. |

Re: Simple really......
Normally I'd be freaking out and worried about this game, I'm calm as can be. If the Saints play like they did last night then no one can stand between them in the Superbowl

Minnesota only put up 35 points on Dallas, a team who supposedly was "red hot" and dominated us when we were at our most vunerable. We're healthy, focused and highly motivated. It won't be a blow out, but I am confident we will walk away with a win. |

Re: Simple really......
Vikes were 9-0 at home and 4-4 on the road. The crowd noise obviously throws this team off.
We play well, and barring some miracle game of all time by the Queens and we will be fine. |
