Here is Minnesota's Road Record this Year. Scary isn't It?
Wins:
@Cleveland 34-20 (Did anyone watch Cleveland early this year? How did they score 20?) @Detroit 27-13 (A week after we dropped 50 on them) @St. Louis 38-10 (Impressive......not) @Green Bay 38-26(Only quality win) Losses: @Pittsburg 17-27 (Not a horrible loss) @Arizona 17-30 (Given what we just did to Cards, I think this is relevant) @Carolina 7-26 (Fighting for playoff seeding and laid a complete egg) @Chicago 30-36OT (By far the worst of the bunch.) Does this strike you as a particularly fierce road team.....? Me either. You think any of the national no it alls will show you this stat? Me either. WHO DAT!!! |

Had our 3 loses been a little more spread out (and had the Colts not also been undefeated through week 13), they would be ready to crown us. We never once got slaughtered. The only 2 loses that mattered, we had a chance to win or tie at the end. Even yesterday, the Vikings didn't look as invincible as the score would have you think. AP pretty much got held in check. And with our corners, I know we can hold Percy Harvin in check.

I just think Favre will press on the road, and the crowd noise is going to enable The Manimal to eat Bryant McKinney's lunch. They are going to have to keep a tight end or RB in their to double him which means less people in routes. Let's just say I don't like their odds very much. If this was being played in MN, I would be worried, but it's not. We earned that #1 seed for a reason.

It's all about protection. I hate to state the obvious but Bushrod vs. Allen. I still have bad memories of the lack or protection in the Dallas game. SP will have a plan for this I'm sure.

I am with ya stockman311. Sure the game is no cakewalk. Sure they will cause some pain. That is the nature of the game. But our coaches should be able to prep our team to perform as required
Points right there G-man. And that was when we had secondary problems all over the shop. |
