For what it is worth....
Elizabeth Hasslebeck, wife of ESPN analyst, Tim, was just on Sportscenter and predicted the Saints to win vs. the Vikings and the Colts over the Jets. When asked who she thought would win the Super Bowl, she picked the Saints. She sounds like a smart lady with the looks to boot. ;)

Re: For what it is worth....
I'm hoping all analysts pick the Saints like they did the cowpies and Chargers last week. Gotta love those analysts.
They do have a huge hardon for Farve don't they? We'll if Brees had 3 MVP's, set more records than anyone, been to a couple bowls, and had a ring; the analysts would have a hardon for him too. |

Elizabeth is a good person, I think. She's the only one who stands up to some of the nutcases on The View! I liked her before, and I like her even more, now!

The majority of NFL fans could give a rat's arse about Brett Favre, but ESPN insists on spitting his name out every time the guy takes a dump. The Saints could have gone undefeated up to this point of the season and ESPN would still be all over Favre's testicles and Brees and the Saints would be a passing thought. Those analysts apparently don't realize there is more interesting sports news out there than Brett Favre. So, when someone mentions the Saints, we relish it, because we have no clue when they will mention us again. |

Re: For what it is worth....
LOL to D it up. But hey we shouldnt entertain "Vikings" fans. For all we know he can just be a bandwagoner. Because to be honest I have never met a vikings fan until this season. We have a QB who has MVP talk around him every season. And trust if he plays half the seasons farve has he would have those MVP's too

Re: For what it is worth....
I went to Minnesota a few years back ('05) and I saw a sh*t load of Patriots fans.
For every one Vikings fan I saw, I saw 10 New England fans. |
Re: For what it is worth....
all the vikes fans are in south dakota

Re: For what it is worth....
Haha! Yep! That and Broncos fans. It's like a sea of purple and orange out here.

So get off my back, I had a Vike fan jump on my back for hating all the Favre-mania and ignoring the Vikes as a team. As for Brees not getting attention, he doesn't have a compelling resume to get good TV ratings... it's a FACT. Maybe in 9 years, when he's 40, he will get just as much or more. |

So a good resume gets you a lot of media attention? Tell that to Dan Marino. He went to ONE Super Bowl with Miami and lost. It's a matter of market-size. Mark Sanchez is getting a lot of media attention and he has NO resume'. Where does he play again? Dan Marino? See above. Brees didn't even start getting any kind of recognition by the media until this year! All he has done in four seasons in New Orleans is put up Marino-type numbers and made it to two NFC Championship games, and it takes four years for the media to notice? New Orleans is in a small market, and therefore, they get put on the back burner because of that. This team isn't glitzy, sexy, or media-starved like Brett Favre or Tom Brady. Let them stay under the radar, though. That is when this team is at its best. Let the media keep hyping Brett Favre so they can come up with excuses and not give credit where credit is due when he falls on his face again and fails to live up to what the media thought he was. |

Tim Hasselbeck is a MAJOR overachiever. I mean. Elizabeth? Seriously?
Its like Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack...http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_T3-T6ewXLY...ng+balding.jpg |
Re: For what it is worth....
I just think it's funny, that this Favre hype topic, is like a freaking virus. I don't there is one thread, that hasn't got at least one post about it. I'm going to start a thread about the 91 Saints, and see if somehow Favre gets thrown into it somehow. It's like: "Mrs. Hasselback is hot!" Response: "Well, she's not as hot as Brett Favre!" Seriously....
