How are the Saints the least talented? My Lord just look at that receiving corps, the OL, QB and the running backs. I will say the same thing I said with regards to the Packers against the Cardinals. I just don't know how the Vikings can stop the Saints (I didn't realize our defense would give up 45 freaking points but that's another topic).

If the Saints get up early, it's going to be lights out. Say a 10-0 lead in the first quarter or a 17-3 type lead in the 2nd quarter. Favre has never been a master at coming back and it's those type situations he gets careless with the football (see the AZ and Panther games). Yes, they did comeback against the Bears, but they didn't get the prize and the entire Bears secondary in the 2nd half was backups.

If the Vikings are close or ahead though at halftime they are going to be tough to beat. I said it all year long, if the Vikings trail early they're in deep trouble (see Pitt, AZ, Panthers, Bears) but if they get the lead they're almost impossible to beat. I kept banging that drum even when they were 10-1...to that point the only time they were behind was against SF and it took a miracle to win that one. Down the stretch they were behind early 3 times and lost all 3 of those games.
We saw Dallas do it when the Saints had a full head of steam, the Cardinals' had two of their top defensive backs out and they, like the Vikings, have had very close games. But yes, the Vikings do need to take the crowd out of it as soon as possible.

Saints were hardly at full steam for that game. They were about as worn out as they had been all season and lost to a good team that was backed into a corner and needed a win more than we did.

We lost to Dallas, but we beat better teams during the season.

I agree that the two Zona DBs going down helped the Saints, but they don't block for Warner and they don't cover on punts.

Another point on the Dallas game, which has been pointed out about a thousand times, is that we came out completely flat in that game, for the first 3 quarters. And still came back in the fourth to bring it within a touchdown. In fact, if it hadn't been for the defense in the second half of that game, the score would have been alot more one sided.

Before someone points it out, I KNOW that I blamed the defense for that loss. I still do to a degree, in respect to the first half, but I came to my senses on the second.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....
