Rivers is widely considered to be a jerk by many across the NFL. I still remember him jawing with fans after winning in Indy 2 years ago. Then there's the on-the-field taunting between him and Broncos (and yes, Cutler is a jerk as well). That's not something you'd find elite quarterbacks like Brady, Brees, or Manning doing. I guess when your leader is immature, I'm not suprised when other members of the team are picking up 15 yard penalties for undisciplined things like head butts after the play and kicking a challenge flag.

On the other hand, I've been following Brees since his sophomore year at Purdue (I was at Purdue over the same period) and I can't remember a single incident where he represented himself, his team, or his school in anything less than a way that would make you proud that he was representing you.

I though this was about what both QBs do off the field. None of this answers the question.


As for everything else... he gets his knee blown out in Indy. As he's walking off the field, fans are yelling stuff at him. He yells at them "I'll be back?" What's wrong with that?

As you mentioned... Cutler's a jerk. Cutler trash talked Rivers and the Chargers all week long, the Chargers wasted him 44-3... why not throw some smack back at him?

As for the actions of other players... that's on the coach, not on the QB.

hey bolts..glad to see u r still around and with us for the rest of the year..you have a good team but i agree norv just isnt the man,,as for rivers he is definatley gifted but i think he lets his emotions rule his head.. he was looking flustered and agitated the whole game and i think it may have led to the INT'S..he needs a little more maturity which norv isnt gonna give him..good luck next year

Thanks and I agree. Put it this way, when I heard Norv was our new HC, I had to get away from my computer before I put it through the wall. LOL!!!

Though I wouldn't want Rivers to stop being Rivers. He does get emotional but in a Farv kind of way and the players feed on it. The guy hates to lose and his 46-18 record shows it!

well its disappointing to see another great stadium dumped for no good reason. Nothing is wrong with Jack Murphy, but I understand you gotta do what you gotta do.

But its good to see you back and ok. Hey I dont know if we are gonna be celebrating or mourning sunday night either, so watch the Saints, root for us, and give us some mojo, if you can.

Yall should can Norv Turner, and also go back to a fun shade of blue and those yellow britches. Thats what the Chargers are supposed to look like. When yall wore yellow britches you scored like us. And the Padres should go back to looking like Taco Bell-- look it up, they were better then. Enjoy that damn perfect weather.

I still have an away Brees jersey in Bolts. When we played you guys last year, I was planning to make the trip to New Orleans and wear it to the game but since it got moved to London, I decided not to go.

I wore it to Hooters when I went to see the Saints/Cowboys game. This time, I'm going to Seau's (yes, that's Junior Seau's sports bar) and I'll be wearing that jersey and cheering for you guys!!!

I hate Norv. I just hope the players have learned to discipline and coach themselves... cause our coach sure as Hell ain't going to do it. Hopefully this loss hit them hard enough to shape up!

I think Our window is still open and we can bring home a title. The hart breaking part of it is that LT probably won't be a part of it. :(

The guy has gone far beyond the call of duty for the franchise and community. I hope we'll see a Jerome Bettis type of retirement.
