Re: Brad Childress
I heard that, too....something on the NFL Network, of course. He did say they had a plan to silence the crowd. (Wonder if he's ever actually accomplished that at the dome before)??? I'm seriously doubting it. I hope those of you who are able to go to the game realize that momentum can shift in a heartbeat, and don't ever let up yelling and cheering until the final second of the game, no matter what!

Re: Brad Childress
Kristian: You've been called out Who Dat Nation
Kristian Garic Reporting Saints fans, you've been challenged. "We've already talked about having a plan for that (the crowd noise), obviously the best plan for that is make them sit on their hands down there," Vikings coach Brad Childress said of the prospect of playing in the Louisiana Superdome with the Who Dat Nation at full throat, for a shot to play in the Super Bowl . Consider it a challenge. Consider it as the Vikings calling you out. Get the message? Are you up for it? The 12th man might need to multiply. It might take 13 to beat the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday in the NFC title game. They're big and strong, and they want to go to the dance in the worst way. I've had several players tell me when that Superdome is rocking, the opposing offense can't change the play, they can't communicate, and it's a huge advantage. While it's against league rules to bring artificial noise makers to NFL games, it's not against league rules to act a total fool! Drink plenty of green tea this week, rest your voice, and refrain from screaming or raising your voice this week. The players are gonna bring their A game to the Dome, the fans have to do the same. Here are some tips to go by that make it really difficult for the opposing teams. 1. The guy on the Saints sideline clad in "orange oven mitts" is the guy that tells the official when to take a TV time out and when action resumes from a TV time out. Keep an eye on him. When he starts winding his hand like a clock, that means they are back from commercial. The play and game clock will be put into motion. That's when the offense can huddle. The most important thing for the offense is to get the play, so if you can disrupt that process when the Vikings have the ball, that creates a huge advantage for the Saints. Don't wait until Minnesota comes to the line to make noise. 2. When the offense is at the line of scrimmage; the fans need to scream, yell, beat on the back of seats, clap their hands stomp their feet... whatever it takes. You should not have a voice by the game's end! 3. No matter what, no matter if they are winning by 30 or losing by 30, cheer as if the score is 0 - 0. I am on the sidelines for every game. Who Dat Nation, trust me when I tell you at field level when you are cranked up, you can't hear anything. You create such a huge advantage for this football team. You can control how effective the Vikings are on offense without even making a tackle. If you find yourself without a voice after the game, it will be worth it just to see a Black and Gold Super Bowl, not to mention WWL's Bobby Hebert in a dress. |
