The birth of Dynamite Joe

Here is a little story about myself that you may or may not find amusing. I wrote it on nov.20th 2008 after a weekend in New Orleans and sleeping in a condo that was built ontop of the original Angelo Brocato, which is also across from the original House of the Rising Sun.

{ Well here's the story. This past weekend my parents rented a apartment in the Quarter and my sister and Alli and I also tagged along. Before we went out to eat my sister was reading the Times Pic and she noticed that some old man had died and his nickname was dynamite.

I jokingly said " I may use that, Dynamite Joe " I think my Mom and Dad chuckled and i'm sure Alli rolled her eyes. That was pretty much it. I had almost forgotten about it until.....

Last night I was having another one of my crazy dreams. My dream was about the Saints. { like usual } During the dream, the Saints won the final 7 games of the regular season to make the playoffs. All of the sudden I get a call from Sean Payton and he asks me if I can still play. I say sure so I go and try out and make the team as a cornerback. Then my dream shifts to the super bowl. I am playing the whole game and we are losing with 3 minutes to go and the other team { which was the Jets} is driving to score a td. They are on the 50. Btw, they were already up by 4. Brett Favre steps back to throw a pass and I jump the pass at the last second and snatch it right infront of the wr. I then break down the sideline and all of the sudden Jim Henderson { the radio announcer for the saints } is announcing the game in my dream and I hear. " He's at the 50, the 40, the 30,20,15,10,5 TOUCHDOWN!!!!!! TOUCHDOWNNNNNN DYNAMITE JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It ends up being the game winning td and the whole crowd was chanting Dynamite Joe the way we chant Reggie. It was friggin awesome.

Anyway, after all of this I've decided to try it out. Hell I'm hoping the new nickname can spread some good luck on the Who Dats like it did in the dream. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

WHO DAT!!!!!!!! }

Anyway ofcourse this means nothing, but it is very ironic that Brett Farve and the Viqueens are coming to town to settle up on who is headed to the Superbowl. I'm just saying....

Born a WHO-DAT in 1979. Section 129 & 618

I had a dream like that... I was on Monday Night Football and Gifford was saying my name as I crossed the goal line, but it wasnt like I was a great athlete--- they just sorta put me in as a publicity stunt, (a la Bill Veeck) and there happened to be a big hole for me to run through.

It was still cool. I woke up smiling. feeling a little stiff, but smiling.
