Pre Game Jitters
If I have pre-game jitters imagine how the Saints must feel.....
Who is confident in a Saints win?? |
Re: Pre Game Jitters
I'm not nervous at all... kind of feel like pre-Hightower long touchdown run. I hope this turns out the way last game did. Right before the game we're going to pump up the volume of Drew firing everyone up... and that should take care of any jitters anyone is having.

Re: Pre Game Jitters
Strange, last game I was nervous and after Hightower broke his run I said ok we got 'em.....

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I don't think scoring fast early in a game is necessarily a good thing until you get a 3 touchdown lead. I have a theory about pro football involving the number of defensive plays and the outcome of a game. It isn't scientific but I've found it to be generally true.
The first defense on the field for 50 plays usually loses the game even if playing with a lead. I think defenses can play at a high level for 50 plays and then start to drop off. We saw it happen against Minnesota last year when Reggie's touchdown returns put the defense right back on the field. So I want to see long drives on offense from the Saints early in the game because I know once the vikings defense hits 50 plays they will start to decline and the Saints will start scoring quick. Just a theory |
Re: Pre Game Jitters
Had a nightmare about the game last night... I'm nervous as hell.

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I definetly have butterflies in my stomach! And we still have 8 hours til kickoff! I don't think my excitement can't be contained for much longer!
|
Re: Pre Game Jitters
They probably have butterflies just like us. The difference is that they get paid more to have them. :D

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I'm still strangely calm. I don't understand it because I went to bed agitated with some Viking idiot posting smack on our board. However, I'm still a little bit shaky....I'm going to the gym and work out that should help.

Re: Pre Game Jitters
dude, I'll be nervous all day

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I'm nervous, but then I was when we played the Cardinals and look how that game turned out. I don't think this game will be like that one though, I think it will be closer. I just hope that JS is fit to play. I will be happy if/when he gets on the field and makes a few plays.
GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!! :) |
Re: Pre Game Jitters
I'm about ready to toss my cookies.
We're playing my 2nd least favorite team today (only better than the 49ers) and I can NOT stomach another playoff loss to these guys... |

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I asked hubby, who played college ball for Colorado, how he felt the night before the big games. He said you lie awake a while and think, then you finally go to sleep....then you wake up usually in the middle of the night going over all of the plays and what you have to do....then sleep again. Then you wake up and get into your pre-game activities, warmups, etc., and that sort of takes over. I would think sticking with your routine and not letting the adrenaline rush take over would be very beneficial. So many times too much adrenaline will cause you to play bad. So here's to the Saints having a great routine today! ;)
