Re: Pre Game Jitters
I'm not nervous at all... kind of feel like pre-Hightower long touchdown run. I hope this turns out the way last game did. Right before the game we're going to pump up the volume of Drew firing everyone up... and that should take care of any jitters anyone is having.

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I don't think scoring fast early in a game is necessarily a good thing until you get a 3 touchdown lead. I have a theory about pro football involving the number of defensive plays and the outcome of a game. It isn't scientific but I've found it to be generally true.
The first defense on the field for 50 plays usually loses the game even if playing with a lead. I think defenses can play at a high level for 50 plays and then start to drop off. We saw it happen against Minnesota last year when Reggie's touchdown returns put the defense right back on the field. So I want to see long drives on offense from the Saints early in the game because I know once the vikings defense hits 50 plays they will start to decline and the Saints will start scoring quick. Just a theory |

They probably have butterflies just like us. The difference is that they get paid more to have them.

I'm still strangely calm. I don't understand it because I went to bed agitated with some Viking idiot posting smack on our board. However, I'm still a little bit shaky....I'm going to the gym and work out that should help.

Re: Pre Game Jitters
I'm nervous, but then I was when we played the Cardinals and look how that game turned out. I don't think this game will be like that one though, I think it will be closer. I just hope that JS is fit to play. I will be happy if/when he gets on the field and makes a few plays.
