HISTORY
Today, our New Orleans Saints can make HISTORY by defeating the Minnesota Vikings. We can break the curse of two previous defeats at the hands of the purple pride and garner our FIRST Super Bowl Birth.
However, lose and history repeats itself as we would lose to the Vikings as well as another NFC North opponent on our way to a Super Bowl. I feel VERY proud of our 2009 Saints but more than anything, I so long like so many of us to see our boys make it to a Super Bowl - and WIN. The city, the state and the WhoDat Nation has longed for this and now it's time to make HISTORY a REALITY .... Having lived in Minnesota for five years I know how Vikings fans are chomping at the bit to send us HOME for the remainder of the post season ... WE ARE ONE, today, the WhoDat Nation, and we must believe that HISTORY CAN be OURS ... GEAUX SAINTS !!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: HISTORY
This win means more to New Orleans fans than it does to Minnesota fans. New Orleans has never been to a Super Bowl. Minnesota has been to four. They've had multiple chances to win a Lombardi.
The talking heads on Gameday Morning made an excellent point about this. Three out of four agreed that this means more to Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Marshall, Warren and even Mariuchi. Of course Micheal Irvin didn't think so, but his brain is so fried from years of cocaine use, he doesn't think or speak coherently anyway. After all the turmoil and suffering Saints fans have endured over the past 43 years, this is the moment we have all been waiting for. Let's go get that Lombardi boys! WHO DAT! |

Re: HISTORY
For almost 30 seasons, I've watched us stumble and bumble along, only making the blooper reels, or someone ELSE'S highlight film, coaches that traded away for sore armed quarterbacks and washed up players, draft picks that were huge busts (Shawn Knight anyone?), entire drafts traded away for one player who turned into an under-performing bust (Ricky Williams), coaches who bailed on the team when things were bad (Ditka, Haslett).
Now is our time. The barbarians are at the gate, between us and history. There hasn't been that many bright spots for us since Gilliam ran the opening kick off back. It's our time to shine. |
I'm a pilgrim in an unholy land: I'm a SAINTS fan living in DFW and I HATE the Cryboys.
