Most Valuable Player: Vilma/Hartley. (Our O did not exactly preform to its expectation)

Most Valuable Participant: The New Orleans Saints Fan! (with out the noise, it would have been a different game).... We bring the Pain!

Re: Who Was the MVP?

Hey Guys. You can't give MVP to Hartley. Great FG and all. But just on the kicking side, Morstead was more influential than Hartley.
Then the horse that is Pierre. e.g. His work for his 1st TD was enormous. His overall stats: 61 yards rushing on only 14 carries with a long of 12 and 38 yards receiving and 40 yard kickoff return in OT

Re: Who Was the MVP?

Too much of a team effort for me to go with just one player. Vilma played lights out, Porter had the big Int in the 4th quarter, Brees managed the game well, Reggie had a couple of good plays, the defensive line was all over Brett Favre, Hartley was cold blooded.

Re: Who Was the MVP?

There many that contributed and not to take anything away from Hartley's kick that put us in the Super Bowl . . . I think that alot of credit goes to the best draft pick that we had this year . . . Thomas Morestead. Without those kicks that kept Harvin on one knee in the end zone and fair catching all nite I think things could have been a lot different. So my vote is for Morestead!

Re: Who Was the MVP?

I have to give it to PT. Very tough running against a physical team.

Think about it, PT was undrafted, on the practice squad that first year. Then he stayed on the team, surviving cut after cut, because of his kick return ability. If not for that, we never would have found out what he could do at tailback. So fitting that, due to Roby's injury, we got to see him return that kickoff in OT, and he didn't disappoint.

Re: Who Was the MVP?

i was kind of thinking o-line. i think they only allowed one sack, gave pierre some holes, and there was some good down field blocking as well. plus it was against a really good front four.
