Easy now. I live in North Louisiana and have been a fan of the Saints for 25 years. This area I am in is predominantly Saints' fans. The northwest corner, however, (Bossier City/Shreveport area) has a lot of Cowboy fans. I try to stay out of that city as much as possible.

I listened to the Tim Brando show on my trip home from New Orleans today. Gotta love the homeboy. He seemed just as sick of hearing about Brett Favre as we do. He kept reiterating how the media is barely talking about the game and mostly about what Favre is going to do. I'm sick of it all, too. There's just nothing we can do about it, because they are going to talk about what they want to talk about....whether we like it or not.

I have lived amongst these Cowboys fans for years, but that ugly blue star has been getting more and more rare in public over the past decade and more young fans are becoming Saints.

This morning i watched the Dan Patrick Show on tv and noticed he was a little dissappointed that the saints won, he tried to downplay the game as a lucky win for the saints and the vikings should have won, the saints earned their spot in the superbowl

To them, every Saints win is a "Lucky" win.

I wonder if they called the Steelers win in Indy during the '05 Playoffs LUCKY after the doors on 'The Bus' (Jerome Bettis' goalline fumble) blew open? Or the Giants SB XLII win against previously unbeaten New England Patriots, with David Tyree catching the ball with his helmet, LUCKY? Does anyone remember the 'Big Ben' Game (Saints vs Falcons)? Did they call that "Dirty Bird" win against us LUCKY? (I wonder if the Lions were to go to the Super Bowl, what would these clowns say then?)

Here's something that I don't understand (or 'Overstand'): Many Cow fan want the Saints to lose to the very team that slaughtered them in the playoffs, and the Cows stopped our 13-game win streak!! Isn't that supposed to be the other way around?? You hope for the team, that you beat in the regular season, or any team for that matter, beat the team that you lost to.

All I can say is that their 'donkeys' have been exposed, AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!!!

Re: STILL DISRESPECTED

I dont know why everyone is upset because they feel like the Saints are disrespected. In order to earn respect you have to have consistency for an extended period of time. This team has not shown consistency to be good year over year since its inception. Respect is earned. This has been and continues to be a magical season. 2006 was an amazing season. Then two mediocre seasons in between. I was born at Lakeside hospital in Metarie in July of 1977. My family have been season ticket holders since 1975. We have seen many horrible seasons, and a couple of magical ones. Once the Saints can show they are contenders year after year they will earn the respect. Until then who cares what the national feeling is about us. We know what this team is about.

I think it is more giving credit where it is due is what people are peeved about. And I think respect should come when you've made it to the big dance because you've earned it. You've played a hard season and have beaten some of the best to ge there. In my book, that deserves respect.

I agree, but the national media doesnt care about one season. Look at the colts they were laughed at before Manning got there. He has made them consitent contenders and now they are the model of a team to the media. It takes more than one good season here and there to earn respect.

Whose respect? Some douchebag fan from MinnieSoota?

Brett Favres respect? Society at large?

Some of us have been around for a lot longer than 77 and don't give a chit about "what people respect".

Are all these people we are supposed to be concerned about their respect... are they the same nitwits who eat at McDonalds daily?

Just because a bunch of people do something doesn't make it good.

I would suggest moving away from Dallas.
