Re: Superbowl weekend??????

my brother in law knows Jim Schwartz so i may be getting super bowl tickets

if i happen to get those i am probably goin to sell them in favor of coming down to new orleans to celebrate with the true fans

this is all completely dependant on getting the tickets of course but i would love to visit the superdome for the first time....hopefully it is open to the fans

I would much rather be in New Orleans for Super Bowl than Miami.

They're gonna be partying twice as hard in NOLA than they will in MIA.

I don't think the NFL will let them show the game in the dome. I think Bobby Hebert was saying something about that yesterday on the radio. Not 100% sure though.

Re: Superbowl weekend??????

Well im planning a trip to New Orleans for the Superbowl and that would help me out greatly to have the dome open for the game, i really don't feel like Bar hopping and i want to be around as many other fans as possible.

You are correct. They floated the idea of opening up the NO Arena for the game.

Someone from the Saints FO called a little later and let them know that the NFL would not allow a rebroadcast of that scale, so it is a no go.

Bobby had some not so kind remarks about the NFL from there...

Re: Superbowl weekend??????

I tell you, I don't have the NFL Network, but I have been planning on adding it to my lineup. But the more I hear from and about those morons, I am sure thinking twice about giving them my money. If the Superbowl is sold out, what frikken difference does it make if they open up the Superdome. They will still get a cut of the revenue from that.
