this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Rumor is that Reggie won't even consider a pay cut to come back. So I say, let him and Kim go and save the money for a draft pick or FA OLB....

Where did you get that rumor from? What source are you privvy to that makes you feel so confident to say that in public like you know.
Innuendo doesn't mean ****. The guy has the right to expect his contract be fulfilled. Reggie and the team agreed on a number. This is America. People keep their word, up until lately it seems. Players should get the number that their contract states... no less, no more. What are you a communist? They should share? :*/ |

Many of the longer term deals were written to be rewritten. The CBA pretty much demands it. They aren't guarenteed deals, if they were, the numbers out in the future would be far smaller than they are. I think Reggie is slated for 8 mil next year. If he says he doesn't want to take a pay cut and rework the contract, that is tantamount to him wanted to move on. There's no way he'll find 8 mil as a FA and everyone involved knows that. He's good to have on your roster, he can do a few things well, and if a much better player if he decides to finish his runs, stop muffing punts, flipping in the end zone and talk about being undefeated when we're 7-0. But not at 8Mil. |

Re: Reggie deserves it.
I love Reggie. He's one of my favorite players. Do you have any DB's that can keep up with him like Revis? And talking about needing a backup QB, we would gladly give you Curtis Painter. He's a project, but with potential ........please take him.........
Reggie Bush did great against the Cards. When is his contract up? |

Another romur has reggie going back to Pete Carol and the Seahawks by way of a trade. So with two picks in the first.
6. Seattle 14. Seattle from Denver - 2009 NFL Draft trade 40. Seattle 71. Philadelphia from Seattle 2009 NFL Draft trade it makes you pause and think of the possibilties such a trade would provide. |
