Peyton Manning and Drew Brees are the headliners of Super Bowl 44. The Colts had the league's second-most passing yards during the regular season, and the Saints weren't too far behind at No. 7.

So naturally, the preliminary pregame focus is on the quarterbacks and the aerial attacks. For underdog New Orleans, however, the path to the upset lies on the ground.




The Saints' coaches show their trust in Pierre Thomas by using him in multiple roles.Many expect the game to turn into a shootout because of teams' offensive prowess, but that would put the Saints will be in a tough position.
