It paid off in a major way for the Saints in their 31-28 overtime victory against the Vikings in the NFC championship game Sunday. The fumbled exchange between him and quarterback Brett Favre seemed the result of the noise in the Superdome causing Peterson to not hear the snap count.The crowd not only willed the exhausted Saints to victory down the stretch, but it also played a key -- perhaps overlooked -- role in one of the biggest plays of the game.
