Freeney & Powers miss Practice
The Colts had 20 players on their first injury report in the build up to the Super Bowl.
Three players didn’t practice: Dwight Freeney (ankle), Jerraud Powers (foot) and Jacob Tamme (ankle). Antoine Bethea (back) was limited. Jim Caldwell talks before practice, not after. Here’s what he told Indianapolis press about Freeney and Powers who are the two big issues. “I do know that they’re getting better. I think Powers is really coming along. Dwight, we’ll have to work hard to get him ready, and he’s working at it. Powers has a little bit of a head start on him. Hopefully, both of them will be ready, but I’m not certain of their status at this point.” Freeney, Powers out of Colts practice - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN |

Re: Freeney & Powers miss Practice
The fact the Colts are installing their game plan this week to avoid trying to do it next during distractions is concerning since we are not doing anything until tomorrow. Also we have a lot of guys dinged up....which is probably why we are waiting until Thurs.
They listed 12 players who would not have practiced - Shockey (knee), tailback Pierre Thomas (ribs), tailback Lynell Hamilton (ankle), offensive tackle Zach Strief (shoulder), safety Darren Sharper (knee), safety Roman Harper (shoulder), cornerback Randall Gay (foot), cornerback Malcolm Jenkins (hamstring), linebacker Jonathan Vilma (knee), defensive end Will Smith (groin), defensive end Bobby McCray (back) and kick returner Courtney Roby (knee). They listed another 12 players who would have been limited - receiver Robert Meachem (ankle), receiver Lance Moore (ankle), guard Jahri Evans (toe), offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod (thumb), center Jonathan Goodwin (knee), tight end Darnell Dinkins (foot), defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (knee), linebacker Scott Fujita (knee), linebacker Jonathan Casillas (ankle), cornerback Jabari Greer (hip/groin), safety Usama Young (hip) and safety Pierson Prioleau (quadriceps).
